Triad of Climate Warmists Climb Down

Let it be said that even the diehards are disengaging from the man made global warming bandwagon.

Once again for the record. There are two phenomena. Global temperatures rose a half degree or so through 1995 and then plateaued. They are prospectively now poised to decline sharply. That may take an additional decade but it looks like a decline is likely.

While this has been going on, the human production of CO2 has steadily climbed without a serious pause. There is now likely twice as much CO2 been added to the atmosphere today as was put out twenty years ago. Therefore the most tortured thinker is forced to acknowledge that they are not plausibly linked at all.

And of course Mr Hansen is also retiring.

Just how was it possible for this huge wad of pseudo science to become the founding document of what was actually a global political party dreaming 'The Internationale'? Does anyone really understand that they were selling us the weather?

Triad of warmists relent

APRIL 14, 2013
BY: PAUL TAYLOR

Three of the most vocal and persistent global warming propagandists have been hushed and hopefully humbled by three realities since their coronations as progressive environmental icons a decade ago. Two of these warmists have resigned the Obama administration after one term – Energy Secretary Steven Chu and U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Lisa Jackson.

Physics Ph.D. and Nobel Prize-winner Chu distinguished himself in California with calls for untested government renewable energy mandates and costly CO2 cap-and-trade regulations. Chu is an eco-radical tree hugger, and authentic tree sitter. In 2007, he was among six U.C. Berkeley academics who climbed into campus trees to protest global warming for a Vanity Fair photo spread.

Lisa Jackson, Obama’s chief of the EPA, led our nation’s preeminent government environmental regulator in the most radical green initiatives of the 40-year history of the EPA. Massive new regulations from Jackson would restrict power plants, industrial plants, mining, refineries and automakers, and as with all environmental regulations embed more costs in all goods, services and activities in America in exchange for negligible or symbolic environmental benefits. Jackson also has admitted to unlawfully keeping anonymous e-mail accounts for conducting government regulatory affairs.

Third among the relenting warmists is U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Chairman Dr. Rajendra Pachauri. Under Pachauri, the IPCC has been the primary organization for global climate change research funding and greenhouse gas control initiatives. Pachauri was jointly awarded the Nobel Peace Prize with Al Gore in 2007. Like Gore, Pachauri has exploited his climate crusading to acquire a global portfolio of business investments and relationships that stand to reap billions of dollars from IPCC policies. Pachauri, an Indian engineer with a Ph.D in economics, has been the principal promoter of the U.N.’s apocalyptic narrative that global warming from manmade greenhouse gases is an immediate and existential threat to life on Planet Earth. Also like Gore, Pachauri has no credentials in climate science.

These three prominent warmists gained global celebrity status by systematically stoking climate hysteria among socialist politicians in the U.S. Democrat Party, the United Nations and European Union Parliaments. However, today’s three realities of new climate science, decades of recent climate behavior and global economic recession have required the triad of warmist leaders to relent, resign and retreat in their tone and details describing climate change.

Green global activists and their partisan, gullible media enablers would have us believe that climate change should be the highest priority for government action irrespective of the debilitating costs and speculative, if any, benefits to the environment or mankind.

Global warming and theoretical climate change will be seen as the most perverse, partisan and cynical political distraction of the 21st century.
